Homeopathy
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD and ADD

Question & info
How can homeopathy help Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD and Attention Deficit Disorder, ADD *
By finding a remedy which match the symptoms, the simillimum. Homeopathy work on all levels of disease inclusive neurological and psychiatric disorders

Worldwide mainstream medical science has a new development in the increased use of "psycho-stimulants" such as Rutalin e.d.** This drug is therefore relative partly similar (hyperactivity) to the disease, and partly antipathic (= opposite: attention deficit); empiric and theoretical homeopathy has learned that a macro "drug" with these properties may be able to ameliorate symptoms for a while but will in the end aggravate the disease because the undiluted drug is partly similar to the disease and attacks the disease in its core instead of curing it (and is therefore potentially dangerous: bounce effect. Coffee is a stimulant and has similar properties. When used too much it is addictive and gives a bounce effect of either hyperactivity or destruction of the neurological system). In homeopathy it is by the way popular to offer complex remedies against ADD and ADHD.

Don't be mislead, the symptoms are hard to treat, need a good homeopath and take mostly a lot of patience depending on age, severity and period of the illness. Remedies which could help ADHD or ADD are for example Rhus Toxicodendron (Rhus-t.) or Mercury (Merc.), but those are really two different types; individuality for each patient is a necessity.

* Essence according to DSM-IV: "Persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity"
