How are homeopathic dilutions delivered
Oral medicine
Question & info
How are homeopathic dilutions delivered
(oral medicine)
In general there are four ways:
Mother tincture. This is usually the base substance contained on an alcohol
base. Mostly used for professionals who want to dilute their own preparations of
homeopathic medicine (see dynamization)
Dilutions (not to be confused with homeopathic dilution, dynamization, potentation]) or oral liquid.
Homeopathic remedies usually on an alcohol base. This means that the homeopathic
dilution (might be based on water or alcohol etc.) is preserved on the alcohol
dilution
Globuli or granulus. Homeopathic medicine processed in pellets from sugar or
lactose
Tablets or pills. Homeopathic remedies processed in powders compressed into
a solid
For patients who order homeopathic remedies (oral medicines) it usually does not matter what
is the oral way they take the homeopathic medicine (point 2-4). Exceptions are children, animals
or bad conditions of the patient when dosages are difficult to give, this
depends on the circumstance. It matters however, how many times they repeat
the medicine, how long they
wait for the next take (see also course
disease), or the strength of the potency.
Among homeopaths the common perception is that homeopathic dilutions
don't expire. What expires is the "container" or medium the
dilutions are diluted with. The integer homeopathic manufacturer will only
state the expiring date of the container, conscientiously he should use
long life sustaining substances for the homeopathic medicine . The (classical)
homeopathic prescriber however may give the patients one time useable
remedies since most prescriptions are used this way.
