What is the second simillimum in homeopathy?: There is a book about it written by Peter Chappell. I have not read it and the second simillimum has no general meaning in homeopathy. What I do know is that Peter like us has developed remedies which could fit the homeopathic constitution. The "Matter miasm" could rather be the binding miasm of the other elements of homeopathy and is the miasm of the Self. Since the central Self or earth element is the organizer of all constitutions with their simillimums, it brings one back to the basics, to who one is, where the main energy is directed to. But the Self must be healthy, proper organized and directed as well, we think that homeopathic remedy which helps the central self or earth element to do this can be called the second simillimum. The (first) simillimum in homeopathy remains however unique and is not replaceable.
