Law of similars: [Law of similars \ homeopathy] In 1796 Hahnemann published his known rule: "Similia Similibus Currentur" (Lat.: similar similar quickly), this became the foundation of homeopathy. The Greek philosopher Hippocrat described already something like this law. In the 6th century the archbishop of Sevilla wrote in one of his books, the Medicina: "aut ex contrariis aut ex similibus" (Lat.: or out of contrast or out of similarity) which was very "similar" to this law. The law of similars is the main "law" or principle in homeopathy. When found a perfect similarity, this is called the "simillimum". The law of similars is independent from the law of infinitesimals and has applications at the macro level in normal life, in physics this agrees with the third law of Newton.
