Definition

Homeopathic posology: [homeopathic posology < posology \ homeopathic dilution, homeopathy] Synonym homeopathic dosing, the philosophy of homeopathic dosing. There are different streams of philosophy in homeopathic dosing. Of course there are different kinds of homeopathy which have different methods of dosing (see classical, clinical, complex and Hahnemannian homeopathy). Also in classical homeopathy, the practice most common, there are different methods. In general there is the method of giving high dilutions once (Kentian method, from J.T. Kent; see also repertory) and there is a method of giving lower dilutions (LM potencies) with a more frequent rate (Hahnemannian method), both are commonly used in classical homeopathy.
