Dr. Samuel Friedrich Christian Hahnemann lived from 1755-1843, born in Meiɮen, Dresden, Sachsen, eastern Germany. He was a German physician, the founder of systematic homeopathy. His main book was The Organon of the Healing Art. Next to medicine he become known with his works about chemistry and pharmacy. He translated books from French and Italian into German. He discovered that Cinchona (China), Peruvian bark produced similar symptoms as malaria. With empiric testing on himself he experimented many remedies which became the base of homeopathy.
