Definition

Temperament

[n. temperament \ Lat.: temperamentum - right proportion, moderation \ MBTI, personality types, psychology] Used in typology and psychology. A "temperament" seems to express a "proportion" or part of a personality type. Dr. David West Keirsey distinguished four temperaments: the Rationals, Idealists, Guardians and Artisans. The Keirsey temperament is as it were an integration of two preferences (see below CAPITALS).

Hompath vs. Keirsey     Hompath categorized The SJ and SP more according to natural logics in ST types and SF types

Hompath connects typology with relativity which is a physical idiom to express proportions. Instead of speaking of a temperament, the idiom "archetype" can be preferred because this is more according to the essence to describe a personality type.
