""Doomsday Clock" Moves Two Minutes Closer To Midnight" (17 January 2007; 10:14 PM, see 18 January 2007 )
Biotechnology is one of the contributing factors scientists fear new developments. About biotechnology some scientists said:
Unlike the biological weapons of the last century, these new tools could create a limitless variety of threats, from new types of “nonlethal” agents, to viruses that sterilize their hosts, to others that incapacitate whole systems within an organism.*
Human extinction likewise could theoretically be brought about without any actual killing. Let us imagine, for example, that a universal plague destroyed the sperm cells of all human males. Not one person would suffer untimely death, but the species nevertheless would, in a lingering scene, be extinguished. **
We’ve destroyed habitats, cut down rain forests, and introduced creatures through migration that have caused a great deal of damage. The only reason our species wasn’t a bigger influence earlier on is because populations were smaller and technology was much more primitive.***
They just don't listen!! The same day one branch of science warns for dangerous "emerging technologies" such as biotechnology, the other, being biotechnology, revives the Spanish flu out of a frozen body. As is evident, this flu is "one of the most dangerous viruses in history". Of course, the defense is that this is to understand the Spanish flu better. But as homeopathy already knew, it is not the virus that causes the disease, it is the response of the body.# This means: The cure should not come from an external agent or source, but from within (a proper cure just stimulates the body to heal itself) whatever flu or disease hits humankind. Science has mocked on the theory of miasms from Samuel Hahnemann, but he claimed that epidemic diseases are caused because "these diseases generally become infectious (contagious) when they prevail among thickly congregated masses of human beings", Organon §73.
