In each medicine we try to include a rubric of side effects
(toxicology).
By clinical
trials and clinical observations, side (and/or toxic) effects from medicines can be
observed. In a lot of medicines side effects are perceived which can not be
classified, it is not known whether these effects are due to the medicine or the
disease.
From a homeopathic point of view (POV) it is very well possible that the suppression
of the medicine CAUSES the DISEASE to develop symptoms which belong to the
disease but did not appear earlier but are now redirected to new areas of the
body because its original outbursts of symptoms are limited by the chemical or
biological agent. It is also interesting for homeopathic POV just to know
the side effects of medicine especially when a patient got toxic (side)
effects or symptoms from a longer use, abuse in this case, because when this
"picture" of toxic effects appear it can be treated like any other
case (see materia medica). Than there are two possibilities:
In journals sentences like these are repeatedly stated thus representing the ignorance of journalists: "Yet the newer drugs offer other health benefits or cause fewer side effects." * Clinical studies prove this to be true for short term side effects, long term side effects might be revealed in and by next generations, then this might be confirmed, but most probably not.
